-----------------------
‘Pashma’ is a Persian word translating to ‘gold wool’ that originated in Kashmir - the Valley of Flowers, and its weaving is practiced by highly skilled craftspeople using long-established techniques. Its origin can be traced back to the Mughal Age. Motivated by the Pashmina Shawls of Kashmir, the technique was infused by the Silk Saree weavers of Benaras, and thus was born the Pashmina Silk Benarasi Saree with its unique touch of rich and sophisticated Gold zari floral jaal weaving. Each zari motif is a piece of art-de-luxe or luxury art hand-woven separately in the masterpiece that is M A N J A R I.
Manjari as the name suggests, is a manifestation of rich and colourful blossoms, emphasized by intricate golden zari work weaved into a magnificent Pashmina Silk Benarasi Saree. It is a tribute to the two most prized and ancient weaving techniques of Northern India. This saree is a part of a limited edition Benarasi Saree Collection handpicked by the QK team from Benaras.
Actual colour of the material may vary slightly from the picture due to use of photographic light.
